OUR STOrY
Vivi Vu, an Executive Producer with over 25 years of experience across the commercial film and creative industries, shares why she founded GIVE Sustainable.
Every journey begins with a single step. Ours began with a simple drawing.
In 2019, my five-year-old daughter, Genevieve, drew a colourful parrotfish. Watching her curiosity about the ocean grow through that single drawing changed everything for me.

As I watched Genevieve’s curiosity deepen, I realised that art had become our language – the way I communicated with her long before she could read or write.
Through art, I could introduce her to the beauty of nature, the importance of protecting our oceans, and the values I hoped she would carry throughout her life.
I began to see that art could be more than a form of expression – it could communicate ideas, inspire empathy, and teach important values more powerfully than words alone.
That simple drawing of a parrotfish became the foundation of GIVE Sustainable.

Today, GIVE Sustainable is a social enterprise and art consultancy.
We serve as a bridge between Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage and contemporary spaces, transforming design concepts into original artworks and bespoke installations that preserve traditional craftsmanship, embrace sustainable materials, and create lasting social impact.
As a registered social enterprise, 51% of our annual profits are reinvested into community art projects, environmental education, and life-skills programmes for underprivileged children and women across Vietnam.

I believe that only through arts and education the torch to protect our planet will be passed on.

GIVE SUSTAINABLE – CONNECTING GENERATIONS
At GIVE Sustainable, we believe every generation has something to teach and something to learn.
Children are inspired by older children. Teenagers become mentors. Artists and master artisans pass on traditional craftsmanship. Together, we create a continuous cycle of creativity, cultural preservation, and environmental stewardship.
