KIDS, ARTS & THE OCEAN

Empowering kids through sustainable arts education and ocean conservation.

EVERY ACTION COUNTS

Plastic Waste: Vietnam produces approximately 8,000 tons of plastic waste every day — equivalent to nearly 5,800 plastic bottles discarded every second (WWF Vietnam, 2021).

Coral Reefs: Of Vietnam’s 3,260 km of coastline, only 1% of coral reefs remain in excellent condition, with most showing signs of degradation due to pollution and warming seas (Nhan Dan, 2014).

Youth Potential: With over 9.2 million elementary school students enrolled nationwide, Vietnam holds a powerful key to change — a generation ready to learn, lead, and protect our natural world (World Bank, 2023).

One action. One child. One ripple at a time.
At GIVE, we connect these dots — transforming awareness into impact through arts, environmental education, and community engagement.

To tell the story of the ocean and its coral reefs. We want everyone to understand what coral is and recognize the vital role the ocean plays—from the food we eat to the air we breathe.

SAFETY STAR PROGRAM – GIVE SUSTAINABLE IN HUNG YEN

On 12 September 2025, in Phong Lac Hamlet, Dong Tien Hai Commune, Hung Yen Province — a community of 37,027 residents — GIVE Sustainable and Andy Lin, Ambassador of the Safety Star Program, implemented a series of community health and safety initiatives.

SAFETY STAR PROGRAM – FIRST AID THROUGH ART

On August 7, 2024, at Vạn Hạnh Mall, Ho Chi Minh City, the “Quick Hands – Save the Miracle” event, hosted by SSVN – Survival Skills Vietnam in collaboration with GIVE Sustainable, brought together over 300 children and families. The event blended professional first aid lessons with creative community art.

SAFETY STAR PROGRAM: ‘SAFE’ EVENT PAINTING SERIES

The “SAFE” painting series by Genevieve Vo Hoang Bich Vy (age 11) was created through the Safety Star Program — founded by GIVE Sustainable and SSVN to raise safety awareness among children and teachers. Inspired by real-life emergencies, she used action painting to turn fear into color and accidents into lessons of care.

SAFETY STAR PROGRAM – WHEN THE BOXES SPEAK!

As part of the Safety Star Program, GIVE Sustainable and SSVN hosted an interactive workshop at kindergarten schools in the Pouyuen Industrial Zone. The program engaged 55 preschool teachers, senior kindergarten students, and their parents in transforming recycled boxes into storytelling canvases. Through playful creativity, children learned to recognize risks and practice essential safety skills in a community-driven way.
